During a wellness exam one of our Doctor’s performs a thorough and complete physical examination and discusses a protocol for a healthy and happy lifestyle for your pet. Our current procedure for wellness exams includes a discussion of external and internal parasites, including heartworms, fleas, ticks and intestinal parasites, semi-annual deworming, monthly heartworm prevention and flea and tick control. All of these elements are essential to your pet’s current and future health. For our geriatric patients we always like keeping up with their health by recommending a blood screenings, such as a complete blood count, blood chemistries and a thyroid level test.
