Dentistry

Periodontal disease is one of the number one diseases of our pets and it is one of the easiest diseases to treat. Yukon Hills Animal Hospital offers dental prophylaxis as one of our hospital services.  This involves ultrasonic scaling, which cleans the tartar off of the teeth. Polishing is performed to smooth the teeth so it is not as easy for tartar to build up. A fluoride treatment is performed as a preventative measure which will help the health of your pet. We encourage daily brushing of your pet’s teeth. Below are some examples of the dentistrys we have performed.

The two pictures below are of a patient who has a grade II-III/V dental disease.  We performed a dental prophylaxis and you can see the results.
